Setting Concepts:
The world of the Bourne films (at least during Marie's brief time within the series) is assumed to be very much the same as our world between the years of 2002-2004. The world is beginning to shift and most of the antagonists are focused on "security" and are willing to go as far as orchestrating deaths and setting up training facilities where recruits are subjected to torturous actions such as waterboarding in order to "break" them and . The CIA is also very obviously not above eliminating their own people if they deem them to be any sort of "risk" that something will be exposed that "shouldn't be". The program that Bourne ends up being a part of is something so "top secret" that only a select few even know of its existence and it appears that even some of the agency leaders know little or nothing at all concerning it and its operations. In these films, it is also shown on multiple occasions that it only takes a matter of minutes for these officials to pull up everything that could be on a person's record and even find a person who has been more or less living off of the grid.
In terms of daily life - there isn't much "normalcy" that we see any character experience. Everyone, with the exception of Marie, has knowledge or set skills that separate them from an average person. The most notable example would be Jason Bourne who is found floating in the Mediterranean Sea with two gunshot wounds in his back and a device with the number of a Swiss safe deposit box embedded in his hip. He has no memory of his name or anything concerning his past, though he can still do most basic tasks that any person can do. The box mentioned is filled with various passports, currencies (easily adding up to thousands or even millions of dollars), and a gun. He also has no idea why he would have any of those things and as more situations appear, he also begins to discover skills that most people would not have and is able to do things that most people may not even be able to do. He can tell just moments before something happens that something potentially will. He is able to out maneuver the authorities if behind the wheel of an old, ratty vehicle or even escaping an embassy while being pursued by Marines by using nothing but a swiped ear piece and his own two hands. He ends up having to recruit a young woman who he just moments before his escape from the US Embassy in Zurich who he sees is down on her luck and desperate for money to drive him to an address that appears on one of his many passports. By the time he reaches the address (an apartment rented out in his apparent name) both Marie and Jason are ambushed by another asset who had been activated and from there it becomes known that someone (the CIA) has it out for the both of them. After investigating, it becomes apparent that Jason Bourne is an assassin and after a showdown with Conklin and a number of other men - he decides to quit and gives them a warning to leave him alone which seemingly goes unheeded when a CIA mission goes awry at the beginning of Supremacy where a fingerprint of Bourne's is planted at the scene of an deal for a set of files.
Marie's life, even as the series "resident normal person" is shown to have a criminal record and only a few scattered bills from one place she had lived some time before the start of the films. She is a drifter who only stays in one place for a little while before having to move on. In canon we know of her current situation of being without an apartment or money, but also of her losing her money after going in on a shop with "friends" as a result of the person who gave them the lease scamming them. The other assets are also shown to be living double lives and only switch to their true purpose when activated. The viewer also sees that Jason's handler during his time in the CIA (and not rogue) is living a double life as a student within Paris. The viewer doesn't get much exposition about their lives as a whole, but there is enough to suggest that nothing is quite as it would appear to someone who is outside of the loop.
In terms of technology, we see characters using cell phones and beepers on occasion but these devices are very "primitive" compared to what we are currently using and what the characters within the most recent Bourne film are using. There isn't any commonly used or mentioned social media and the viewer also sees the titular character using a phone booth and phone book instead of a cell phone and google to inquire information from another party.
In terms of locations, there isn't a single location that doesn't exist in some capacity within our own world. Most of the series locations are in Europe (Paris, Zurich, later London) with a few locations existing within the US and Asia (Goa, Langley, later in the series New York City serves as a backdrop for the action).

Do you get to adopt the cats? If...if so, then someone should probably stop me from doing that, I'm not sure if I'm ready for a cat even though I know I'll probably find one that I want to take with me. I also never got the chance to actually have a pet either...I can't right now, though. I definitely can't handle it.
(She grins.) Okay, one more question before I really start to ramble and bore everyone...
I also wanted to know if there were any other good places to visit - it doesn't matter if it's a cafe or something else. I'm curious. (Oh wait, one more question.) Also, what places should I avoid if I can? (No wait...)
Also would anyone want to meet up there?
Additional Information - CRAU Characters:
Game Origin: Boomtown (boomtown.dreamwidth.org/)
CRAU Changes: She had one moment been shopping in a marketplace and the next minute she had been surrounded by the scene of a town under a dome that seemed to rival the ones in the western films that she had seen bits and pieces of growing up. She had been wary of those who helped her and only seemed receptive (though mostly thankful and relieved) when she saw Jason who seemed stunned to see her there. She had been given bits and pieces of information about where she was by him and others and eventually it had been decided where she was going to stay and her job. Marie had found herself both enjoying and frustrated by her life in New Dodge. It was more "normal" or allowed for more normalcy than her past world, but at the same time the weirdness that it presented was a constant struggle. Marie had come from a world where the cell phone was a novel thing and yet this place had advanced levels of technology that included teleporters. She had met people who varied from possible superheroes to even time travelers. If anything Marie probably was the most "normal" or among the the most "normal" there, but she never seemed to give it any real thought.
In this town, she was "reunited" (at least he would see it as such) with Jason Bourne who seemed to be older and carried memories she did not. She had eventually learned that she had been killed by mistake in the world where he had come from (though she considers it to be her world as well) by someone who had been chasing them and looking to kill him. She had also had to come to terms with learning that her death had also created a series of bloody events which ended with the source of all of their being taken care of once and for all. Though, she still carries guilt from knowing that it was what happened to her that caused so much to happen and caused him so much pain. In some sense, she struggles on and off with blaming herself for both things despite her cheery demeanor towards him. She simply just wanted to help and she had thought the best way was to create something new out of the "second chance" they were both given. Of course, Though, she had never allowed herself to initially explore her feelings or to think much about the truth, she had shoved it deep down inside and instead chose to try to smile through all of her uncertainty as she had been trying to do when she was in Goa. Of course, she would later grow to develop doubts and even some fears about her life choices and she could be arguably more depressed than in canon. It also did not help that she begun to think that she might be a reminder of "bad things" to Jason and not the good like she had known herself to be. But even so she did everything she could to hide it from him, but towards the end she did allow some of her uncertainty to show around others she believed to have some sort of similar background or who showed her some care.
( boomtown.dreamwidth.org/496673.html)
She gotten it in her head that she had wanted to start a new life in New Dodge, one where they wouldn't have to run anymore and she had even become bold enough to ask him if he had wanted to start over too. Marie had also struggled some with making friends, at least letting herself get to the point with them she could call those people her friends and could easily rely on them when she was stuck. She liked speaking to people and she had found herself growing fond of a handful of them, even allowing them to help her when she had hit a low point or two. She found herself relying on another person who fluxed in like herself named Gabriel Gray at her lowest point, but she also tended to like speaking to Gene Khan, Tony Stark, and Lara Croft, along with a few others during those periods where she felt alone or stressed. Marie seemed to be especially fond of her friend Gene and they both often spent hours snarking at each other and talking or venting about their boyfriends. She also often invited him out to go drinking with her. She found him to be interesting and even a bit funny. She had managed to grow fond of those people and even tried to reach out to befriend others or at the least she tried to be helpful and kind towards them. (boomtown.dreamwidth.org/547445.html)
She had wanted to try to return the favor (seen when she had discussed making baked goods for people who tried to help her cope with the news of her supposed death in her world) at least once time. Something she saw as a "thank you", but no one seemed to fully take her up on. However, it was the small things like being free to cut and dye her own hair in any way that she wanted and being able to run a shop of her own again, that she liked best. She also had found herself trying to create a routine and trying to do things with others such as going to the Saloon for drinks and even baking - things she had thought she would have to give up for good in her world. She also found some comfort in the few moments alone she had with her boyfriend and felt most at ease then. (boomtown.dreamwidth.org/517827.html ,boomtown.dreamwidth.org/537979.html, boomtown.dreamwidth.org/554781.html )
Her role within the town was running the town's consignment shop and she often spent a lot of time there because as stated, it was something that she liked doing. She had been shown in her canon to always liked running shops from her scooter rental shop to the shop she and her friends all put their money into which turned out to be a scam. She also had begun to see her shop as a place she felt "safe" and "comfortable" compared to the yurt where she was staying with Jason.
(boomtown.dreamwidth.org/547445.html and boomtown.dreamwidth.org/554781.html)
Of course with her feelings being as they were, towards the end, she spent more time than not locked away within her shop and thinking everything she had learned and experienced over. She had realized that pushing herself had begun to take it's toll on her. It should have been easy acclimate to a life Eventually, she had fluxed out and the only traces of her presence in the town were the letters she had written for the people she had grown fond of and what few possessions she had managed to gather during that time. A short time later - she suddenly returns, just a very short time away from her demise in her world, because she realized that she missed things as they were. That she missed Jason most of all. That she had actually seen more of him and in some ways seen him in a "better state" than she had in her original world at that time. She also had a rare moment of feeling "sorry" for acting so impulsively and for not communicating better. They both end up promising that neither will go anywhere without the other from that moment on.
Upon her return, Marie was also comforted by various people she had spoken to or become friends with, and reassured that it was okay that she ran away or they acted as if she had taken a long trip somewhere. No one judged her and no one rejected her for becoming "scared" and if anything it seemed as if Marie had been drawn closer in some ways because she learned that she was actually missed and that it was okay to be afraid and to find being there difficult.
(boomtown.dreamwidth.org/639699.html, boomtown.dreamwidth.org/617502.html)
Of course, in the end, she left the settlement again but this time Jason was in tow.
Overall, her time within New Dodge has made her much more aware of just how much she has changed. She started off as a woman with no sense of direction who just drifted along with whatever opportunity presented itself and acted on it without putting any serious thought into what the consequences could be or if it was even possible for her to go through with it to someone shouldering a lot of responsibility and who was forced to grow up later and more rapidly than most people and in a shorter amount of time. Marie had also learned what she was afraid of and what she wants. She had begun to realize that she wanted somewhere to belong and by the time she left she realized that it wasn't particular place but a person instead. She also learned that she wanted to be able to do things as she wanted - she had missed being able to not have to constantly watch over her shoulder but instead keep her eyes forward. She had also realized that she had never really "lived normally" and that she did best when living as she had before her "death".

Treadstone:
bourne.wikia.com/wiki/Operation_Treadstone
"They don't make mistakes. They don't do random. There's always an objective, always a target."
- Nicky Parsons
Treadstone operatives are very capable assassins (they are highly trained in numerous killing techniques such as turning nonlethal objects into lethal weapons and are downright nearly superhuman when it comes to other skills such as hand to hand combat, operating vehicles, using explosives, and using martial arts techniques). They also have excellent observational skills and even heightened senses. Jason Bourne himself is known for his resourcefulness and shows many instances where he is one or two steps ahead of someone who means him harm or a possible mark.
It is also constantly repeated that these operatives don't "do random" - they always think of the most rational plan and always have an end goal. Their movements are methodological and planned. However, it is also repeated more than once within canon that these objectives suffer from headaches, depression, paranoia, and a number of other symptoms which can all be traced back to the extreme (illegal) training they are forced to undergo.
But, in general, Treadstone operatives are able to leave no trace of their existence that any normal person can pick up on. As such they are sent because while "anyone can perform an assassination", these agents simply "don't exist".
bourne.wikia.com/wiki/Operation_Blackbriar
Operation Blackbriar was the successor to Operation Treadstone. Blackbriar was conceived at the end of 2001/early 2002 after the announcement of the termination of Treadstone. Abbott brought forward his proposal for what he claimed to be a "Joint-D.O.D. Communications" program which he called "Blackbriar."
It appears or rather is claimed, based on Vosen's explanation of the program, to have been brought into existence to hunt down Jason Bourne.

In canon most of the CIA could be seen as antagonists, with the exception of Nicky Parsons and Pamela Landy who and only after they became aware of the truth of the situation became Bourne's only allies besides Marie. Their goal is seemingly to bring Bourne down (kill him), but as the films go on - the viewer becomes more and more aware of the individuals behind the organization and programs having their own agendas and that this clouds their judgment and makes the goal "hazy" at best.

In the film universe (specifically the original trilogy) there are two black operations programs that were undertaken by the CIA. They were Operation Treadstone and Operation Blackbriar (essentially a Treadstone upgrade). The three produced assassins. As taken in the commentary of the Bourne Identity, these programs would fall under the Directorate of Operations, specifically in the Special Activities Division.
In canon most of the CIA could be seen as antagonists, with the exception of Nicky Parsons and Pamela Landy who and only after they became aware of the truth of the situation became Bourne's only allies besides Marie. "Neski Files"
bourne.wikia.com/wiki/Neski_Files
The Neski Files are documents that are about the theft of $20 million from the CIA black budget that occurred several years before the start of the series proper and it is these files that are the reason that Marie was accidentally killed at the start of "The Bourne Supremacy".
According to the files in question, Yuri Gretkov is party responsible for the theft the money along Ward Abbott. It is also suggested in these files that Alexander Conklin could have been involved as well, due to the CIA discovering a large amount of money in his bank account after his death at the end of "The Bourne Identity" where he was ordered to be killed. The theft involved Conklin (though it is unknown if he was unknowingly under Abbott's orders or knowingly involved in the scheme) to assign Jason Bourne for a first (and extremely unofficial) mission to kill Vladimir Neski.

Personality:
"Look, I'm... you're acting like I'm trying to burn you here. I'm just trying to do the right thing. "
"Nobody does the right thing..."
- Jason Bourne and Marie Kreutz
Marie is a person who is 'hard to get to know' and shows many different sides depending on who is near her and her circumstances. If one word could be used to describe her with any degree of accuracy it would be "survivor" even if she doesn't appear outwardly to be such a person. She can adapt to make herself comfortable or to try to get something that she needs to do done, but unlike others in her canon, she is much more naive and her decisions do not always work out as she wants, especially if she finds that she is desperate and must do something, anything in order to keep herself moving. But, she also, believes that everyone always has a choice and can seemingly accept even her mistakes with some sort of grace. She is the living embodiment of "plurals" and it may be because of that she best represents humanity in the eyes of a former amnesiac assassin. She both initially is distrusting but eventually won over. She shows both their fear and uncertainty but also love and acceptance.
The sides that she shows within canon suggest that Marie can be both temperamental, mistrusting (unless she sees something that she wants - then she can put all of her faith and trust into something to the point that it can be considered her fatal flaw), and suffers no fools but she can also be loving, fiercely loyal, patient, gentle, and eager to help when she deems a cause to be worth the trouble it could cause or bring to her doorstep ( this is something that is focused on throughout most of her time in "The Bourne Identity" when she chooses to stay with Jason despite his aggravated pleas for her to go to the police. She is shown arguing (though out of the two she is the more emotional one and her words are failing her) with him about this idea and later in the film appears hurt when he forces into her (soon to be former) friend's car with all about a a faction of the cash that belonged to Jason. She had long since made up her mind to stay with him and even went as far as to try to help him figure out his mysterious past despite the danger she had been thrown into just hours after meeting him. She even allows him to dye and cut her hair to change her appearance and gives up even the few possessions that she owns once the situation makes it clear that she will have to do so because of her decision to stay and shows little to not resistance to doing so. By this point (one assassination attempt by another Treadstone asset and one car chase with the French authorities) it becomes clear that she cannot truly go back and that she will have to give up everything she even owns and she does so without complaint. She seems to understand what she must do even if she still is left with more questions than answers and even if she isn't entirely sure what she can do to keep from getting in the way or help.
Regardless, she realizes that something is not "right" and that she can only truly believe that the person next to her is the only one telling her the truth. She probably eventually realized after his fight with Castiel and from the car chase that she is safest with him and she probably allows herself to start growing fond of him because he had originally planned on leaving her behind but after a good look at her standing there barely able to speak or even stand upright but changed his mind and took her along with him. He advised her to change her appearance (mainly her hair) and even helped her to do so.
With either side to her, she does exhibit a talent for placing herself into troublesome situations (her first scene within the U.S. Embassy where she is arguing with the clerk about her application for a visa/entry into the country mentions that she had once tried to circumvent US laws order to get a green card to which she exclaims that "This isn't for a green card, this is completely different!" is a great example of this). Other characters even make remarks or hints that she has a knack at getting herself into bad spots constantly. The CIA mentions her being detained for credit fraud and Eamon is quick to blame her for The Professor's appearance and almost siege of his farmhouse/country retreat and shows disbelief when Jason steps him and rightfully takes the blame. Eamon also makes a comment to Marie about Jason asking if he was "good for her" and she shrugs an answer of "You know me" out loud. Marie also managed to dig herself into a deeper hole when it came to her visa application by acting irrationally and emotionally towards the clerk. She never once goes as far as to threaten the guy but she does raise her voice and even moves around a bit erratically. Marie even goes as far as to come up with a story about how the clerk she spoke to the "last time" had told her something entirely different than what the man she is speaking to now is saying. It doesn't work in her favor and there isn't a reason behind her behavior that is stated, but is possible she could have been either stressed out from what appears to be her life falling apart around her or because she has seen or pulled off such an act before to get what she needs.
Marie, at first, also seems to be reluctant to help others (though, she is not above agreeing to take money or something similar in exchange for her assistance - she is desperate herself, she is just more prone to caving in and helping and holding up her end and then some). She, at first, refuses Jason's offer to give her $20,000 for a ride to a address in Paris that he found in one of his many passports muttering that she "is not running a car service just now, thanks" but when she sees that he is good for the money and remembering how she is now homeless and without a job or cash (most importantly - without a visa as a way to go to someplace "new" and potentially better for her or different) and decides to put her faith into the venture.
Of course, this doesn't appear to be something done purely out of faith - she knows that the money is good and she doesn't seem to have any distrust or belief that the money is fake - he threw her a share of it in order to convince her to not refuse his offer- and he seemed to be more content with just sitting entirely still than even talking to her and even encourages her to keep speaking (even saying that it was comforting)when she shows that she is growing uncomfortable. She starts to show her ability to place faith in what happens at a roadside dinner when he begins to tell her his story but even when she expresses cautious skepticism, she never once entirely refutes what he is telling her and even keeps driving once they leave when she could very well just toss him out of her car and life. She takes in what he tells her he remembers, knows what he has done for her (once things start to go south), or what he figures out in stride. She knows what she has seen and bases everything off of what she knows is a fact.
Those who she distrusts (everyone else) she appears to be aloof, flighty, proud, and as if she moves a step back or to the side for every one step that they take towards her. Even if she decides that she must trust someone, she still seems to keep a distance from them – Eamon did not seem to know much about her or what she was up to when she runs into him in "Identity" and she doesn't mention having any other friends (rather she never mentions names or goes into details about them). Her actions (movement) can be described as chaotic by those who do not know her and are simply observing her. This is especially evident, though it can be argued that they believe she is someone just as well-trained and in the same line of work and convinced their best to go rogue, despite the reality being she is just a drifter with no real ties to anything or prospects and who can easily live off of the grid. The best that the United States government is able to pull up are a couple of family members who are still alive (a grandmother and a half-brother), her age, her full name, and mentions of a few scattered bills from her time living within Spain, and eventually they manage to find out that she had lived under Eamon's roof for a short period of time before the series.
When given the chance to warm up to a person, she shows many occasions of being caring and even acting as an "anchor" to them when they seem to be lost or about to drift away from reality. She speaks to Jason from his first confession of who he is with a gentle, though grounded tone of voice and tries to reassure him that he is no longer the person he discovered he was. When she is romantically interested or even attracted, she tends to be the one to make the first move, much to the confusion to the other party, of course she also knows to back off when she sees this and realizes that it may be making them uncomfortable. In the case of Jason, she is the first to show him any real affection and she is the only person who openly encourages him to keep digging into his past even if it hurts him because she truly believes that "sooner or later" he will remember something good. She also can show a nurturing, perhaps even motherly, side to her when she is around him by taking care of a fever after one of his nightmares in Supremacy. She also is capable of rousing herself from sleep if she can sense something is "not quite right" in her surroundings.
Of course, she also doesn't show any overly apologetic side when it comes to her acting impulsively in other situations and will even give a reason (even if it's weak or without much merit) such as telling Jason when he shows dismay and even some annoyance/fear to her sudden disappearance from her car after him telling her to stay point. She doesn't apologize, but she instead dishes out that she thought he wasn't coming back anyway. Her motives for her actions and reactions are a mystery to everyone but herself (she never once really explained anything besides what she has done and certainly never has really given any reasons as to why out loud, but she seems comfortable with herself and how she lives life. She talks about her misadventures as if they were amusing anecdotes and not things to be ashamed of and she perhaps wishes to see others do the same as her. She just accepts that she did what she did (and that's that) and she seems to treat others in the same very way. Whatever they did, whoever they were - it doesn't matter other than the fact that it happened. It's what they choose to do in the moment that matters.
If there was one thing she hates, it would be being ordered around unless she sees their being a valid reason for why she is being told what to do (or at least having it put in a way where she can just go along with it or be unable to argue). This trait shows itself in the fact that she is one for making her own decisions and can deviate from agreed plans if she finds her way may work better or be more simple. For example, she immediately decides to go with a simpler plan of pretending to be someone's personal assistant to get a copy of a hotel bill versus the complicated plan Jason invent which includes things such as counting people in the lobby, steps to the front desk, and even going as far as to invent an exit strategy that was just as complicated but would show him if she noticed something wrong or got scared and needed to bail. She also showed Jason resistance when he would 2 years later force her to change seats in the jeep and to drive while he went to take care of the "issue" but she did not seem to be able to invent a logical reason and never once stopped the car or deviated from a practiced escape route. She could only protest but she knew that she had no choice but to flee and begun to show her dislike of having no choice.
Marie also has a deep dislike of violence and a distaste for it, though she seems to exhibit this (and understands that she doesn't like it) within the sequel while she seems more shocked and horrified by it within the first movie. She seems to have more of a tolerance for running and hiding than facing a problem - until the second movie where she has a moment of clarity and realizes that nothing she (and Jason) is experiencing will end if they run but more so if he resorts to violence to end it. She had panicked when he began to fight another asset that attacked them and shouted Jason's name repeatedly and became resistant whenever she realizes that 2 years later Jason feels the need to fight again. Jason also tells Ward Abbott later in the series that "she wouldn't want me to" and spares the ruthless director's life after forcing a confession (which he managed to tape) out of the man - something that he sounds sure would be an outcome that she would rather see than a guilty man being murdered.
She is a born worrier, though she does her best to not let those worries show and instead show a more positive (well, a realistic by her standards such as "People can do all sorts of amazing things they they are scared") or "cold" outlook on what is happening around her. Even if all she is able to do is just stick around and do her part, or even give a few words of encouragement or belief. Sometimes she says nothing but the fact she sticks around says it all. She also strongly dislikes when she feels someone is trying to shut her out or hide things from her, though she is more understanding of their reasons in those situations and tends to voice her thoughts or offer help and leave it be. She, however, also has a strong sense of curiosity when something peaks her interest and if asking does not get her what she wants to know, she will look around and piece an explanation together herself. She does this by flipping through the journal that Jason keeps and writes his many vague nightmares in and before that she tried to verbalize what they both knew and what it could mean but also what it may not mean.
Compared to the rest of her castmates, she is the closest that the viewer sees to a "normal person" (she has no idea about any top secret CIA operations and expresses shock at seeing one person throw himself out of a window after failing to kill them and seeing Jason's landlady sitting upright with a bullet wound to the forehead - and becoming promptly ill and vomiting. She also has to be more or less dragged/carried out of the apartment building by Jason and is unable to speak) but at the same time we only really get to see her interact with the titular Jason Bourne and with an old friend named Eamon and his family. She shows incredible remorse and fear for his children and barely reacts to Jason's reassurances that "that won't happen" when the professor arrives and Jason senses that something is amiss and orders everyone into the basement to hide until the coast is clear. She also is shown at one point wandering away from her mini cooper in a daze and coming back to Jason's fear/dismay carrying a small bottle of strong alcohol and promptly takes a swig of it. She doesn't understand or have any of the answers. She doesn't ever truly pretend to do so. She still shows some trust in the world and she is just as easily as any one of us willing and able to write things off as coincidence or with some simple explanation that ends up not fitting the situation because it's comforting or even "normal". In the latter case, she shows this during the beginning of the Goa car chase in "Supremacy" where she constantly repeats questions to Jason such as "How do you know that?" much to his frustration, his worry for her safety and his life, and the after effects of his training. She had seemingly grown to believe that they were safe because they had managed to stay put in one spot for longer than a few days or hours and expresses confusion by his vague statements. Even as they are speeding through busy roads and even off roading to escape an unknown enemy, she tries to plead with him to not do what he is planning to do. By this point in the series, she had pieced together enough of his past and tendencies to know that he is planning on going after this person and pleads with him and even tells him that she doesn't want him to do it.
She doesn't mention her family out loud at any time or does anything to suggest what her relationships were like with them, though in Ultimatum the viewer does get to see her brother in person and judging from his reaction to the news of her death - it appears they may have been close or at least there wasn't any particular negative feelings between the two. She doesn't interact with him on screen and the viewer only really ever sees her interacting with Jason for any extended amount of time that isn't a few lines within a short scene. (She is seen interacting with Eamon and a clerk at the US embassy, but most of her interaction is limited to just Jason Bourne.)
In short, Marie is a person who lives life with two distinct sides that often interact and override each other. She doesn't seem to either notice or worry about how she might appear, but instead does as she wants or what she feels is right. She is a mystery to everyone, but she is still a lively person who is full of life and capable of caring for others – especially others that normally would be shunned from society and hated. In any event, she seems to be comfortable with herself even at her worst because she is able to acknowledge what she sees and feels.

(It has been a while since Marie has had to actually interact with strangers and she tries to think back to how she handled it before everything happened. She knows she might come off a bit strongly, but she manages to place herself onto the network after a moment and she appears to anyone who is paying attention with a huge grin.)
Uh, let's see where to start, where to start... (A few moments of silence pass before she just sighs and she looks down slightly. If anyone is looking closely enough she might be a very slight shade of pink. She finds herself tucking a strand of long curly blonde hair behind her ear and she glances back up.) It's actually kind of humiliating, but I heard there was a cat cafe here here and was wondering if it was true. I've never gotten to go to anything like that before...not even sure if there were any of those where I am from.
If there is? Um, where is it? I know someone mentioned it out loud, but... (Marie pauses.) oh, never mind. I can find it. I don't think I'm that far...
